Despite worldwide shortages, Nintendo will be launching the Switch in two more markets later this year. The company has announced that it will officially launch the Switch in South Korea and Taiwan on December 1st, 2017.
The console will retail for 360,000 Won in South Korea, or about $320. In Taiwan, it will retail for 9,780 NTD, or about $325.
The Switch will launch with a number of games, including Super Mario Odyssey, Skyrim, Splatoon 2, and a bunch of other titles.
However, Zelda: Breath of the Wild is not on the list of launch games, presumably because it’s a massive game and will take a while for Nintendo to localize.
And by launching in two major markets, it means that the Switch supply chain will be strained even more. Hopefully the launch in South Korea and Taiwan is backed up by increased production.
